About Us

CitizenCivics provides free bilingual resources to organizations that help lawful permanent residents prepare for the naturalization interview and citizenship tests. Materials, lessons, flashcards, videos, and practice activities build civics knowledge and English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Students may also use the resources for review and independent practice. Civics instruction is supported with Spanish narrations and English keywords. Interview and test practice is conducted primarily in English with varying levels of Spanish narration.

CitizenCivics is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. USCIS remains the authoritative source for naturalization requirements and official study materials. CitizenCivics provides educational information, not legal advice.

About the Developer

Carol Hartz, PhD, is the curriculum author and developer of the Citizenship Civics Workshop. She is a former college professor and former executive director of CreArte Latino Cultural Center.
